The Grammar Freak

I admit. At times, I can be a grammar freak. I tend to frown upon simple sentences with lots of grammar mistakes. It kind of annoys me. I mean, why do some people keep using the English Language when they can use Filipino instead?

I know, nobody's perfect, and practice makes perfect but there are some people I know who were offered help in the English language but pride took over and they rejected help. Hay, when will they learn?

The Forbidden Game

This, by far is one of the best book series I have read.

The Forbidden Game is written by L.J. Smith, author of The Vampire Diaries. I am a fan of her works. I got hooked to the Nightworld Series, reading the books all through the summer until the start of school year.

Anyways, the book is about Jenny Thornton, a simple girl, and Julian, a Shadow Man. I fell in love with Julian instantly. He has snow white hair, blue electric eyes and dark lashes. Imagine a really handsome young man in his 17s. HOT.

Er, okay. So, for my birthday wishlist, I want to have my own set of The Forbidden Game series. *^o^* I'd be really happy if that happens. If only, someone I know can send me a boxed set of this. Eh, but it was published way back in 1994. I think, there are only a few of these books now. :3

On Waxing

For the first time, I am getting waxed. By me.

I really have hairy legs, it's in the genes. Plus, I always wear pants everyday, which contributes to the growth of my hair.

And now, I decided it's time to end my misery (chos). I bought Epilin Hair Remover at our local mall and tried it my self.

Epilin doesn't need a strip of cloth to pull the hair out because it dries by itself. The wax itself serves as the strip of cloth. I bought the trial pack of Epilin, which costs P103. The wax comes in an aluminum melting pan and a spatula for applying the wax.

First, I melted the wax inside the melting pan by placing it inside the oven toaster since we don't own a microwave oven. Then, I let the wax cool down and have a honey-like consistency. When I made sure that it isn't too hot, I applied it on a small part of my left leg. The size I first applied was like the size of a band-aid. I let it cool for 10 second, in which the wax hardened, enough for me to pull it.

AND HOLY SHIZ DID IT HURT! I almost wanted to cry but I didn't. It hurts a lot, especially if you are a first timer but then, you'll get used to the pain.

And yeaaaah! I got the hairs out! :D
